About Karla
Karla Hogan is a gifted speaker, vocalist, and author who enjoys teaching God’s word and joyfully sharing her life story with audiences everywhere. She is married to her husband Greg, and they have two adult daughters— Kellie and Keri.
Karla will tell you that the one thing she wants you to remember after hearing her speak is the truth of Who has fashioned her into the woman she is today — Jesus Christ. She is passionate about encouraging others to know, love, and serve Jesus, so that He can transform them as He has transformed her.

Karla grew up in a loving Christian home; with parents she truly believes were sent by God to grow and nurture her faith and shape her deep lifelong love of Jesus. They taught her — through their example — what it means to live with integrity.
Her parents modeled for her what it meant to live in a way that prepared her to come alive in her faith, share her testimony, and serve Jesus. Their guidance, wisdom, and integrity strengthened Karla during many painful experiences as it became clear that she was truly unique.
Karla was born with Moebius Syndrome — a rare disorder that affects several nerves and muscles around her eyes and mouth. As she grew up, people were naturally curious, and children were often insensitive and at times even cruel. This provided an opportunity for God to begin shaping a Christ-centered character in Karla so that He could use her to bring His message of hope, love and forgiveness to people everywhere.
Karla will tell you that living with Moebius Syndrome — while it may have been a catalyst for many of His works — is far from the biggest obstacle she deals with in her life.
“The biggest challenges I deal with are what we all have on the inside: jealousy, pride, ignorance, anger, etc. These are the things each of us face every day,” Karla says. “Thankfully, God is able to bring a different perspective to what is seen and unseen. Somehow, He meets me there in the midst of it all. He has worked in and through me in ways only He can. Not only do I know it in my head, I also know it in my heart, and I want to share it. I want everyone I meet, and everyone who hears my story, to see my Jesus — because He’s their Jesus, too.”
